Description: Indoor azaleas are dwarf rhododendrons that have been 'forced' in order to flower in winter. These varieties are not frost hardy and cannot be planted in the garden. However, they can be grown outside in the summer months, preferably in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight.
A porch or a cool conservatory are ideal for year round growing.
Height and Spread: 0.3 x 0.3 m
Light requirement: Grow a bright room with plenty of indirect sunlight in winter. Move to a shadier area in summer.
Water requirement: Keep the compost moist but not soggy. Mist the foliage if the temperature rises.
Soil: well-drained (Indoor plant mix)
Feeding: Every 2 weeks between March and September.
Minimum Temperature: 7 °C
