A small perennial herb with aromatic, golden leaves and pink flowers in early summer. Thyme can be used fresh or it can be dried. It can be used to flavour stews, stuffings and soups. It is also delicious added to poultry and fish dishes. It goes well with other herbs such as rosemary and parsley. It is an essential herb in mixes such as herbes de Provence and bouquet garni.
