Coprosma Trio - Characteristics

Mature Size: 1 to 1.5 meters high and wide on average (3 different varieties in the same pot)
Evergreen or Deciduous: Evergreen
Preferred Position: Partial to full shade
Shape - Plant Characteristics: Compact, upright, with very glossy, variegated leaves. Produces, small, inconspicuous, green flowers in spring.
Hardiness: Hardy in coastal areas but will need protection during cold winters. Alternatively, can be grown in a pot and brought in the greenouse or conservatory over winter.

Uses in Garden: Ideal as an ornamental shrub, Coprosma adds vibrant colours all year-round with its colourful foliage. Its compact size make it a good choice for small gardens and containers.


Coprosma Trio - Planting Instructions in an Irish Climate

Planting Time: Best planted in late winter to early spring.
Trench Preparation: Dig a hole twice the width and depth of the root ball, amending the soil with organic matter and ericaceous compost as required
Positioning of Plants: Plant at the same depth as the root ball.
Plant Spacing: Space Coprosmas 1 meter apart.
Pruning Instructions: Prune after flowering only if necessary to maintain the shape


Facts About Coprosma Trio:

Coprosmas are prized for their evergreen, attractive foliage year-round. The variegated leaves take different hues with the season for an ever-changing display. It makes also a beautiful specimen in a pot for the conservatory as, indeed, the Coprosma can be a bit tender to frost.
