Mature Size: Height up to 1.2m, spread approximately 60cm
Evergreen or Deciduous: Semi-evergreen (depending on winter severity)
Preferred Position: Full sun, sheltered spot
Shape – Plant Characteristics: Clump-forming perennial with upright, strap-like green foliage and tall, elegant stems topped with clusters of vibrant blue flowers
Hardy or Not Hardy: Moderately hardy; may require protection in harsh Irish winters
Diseases: Generally disease-free but can be prone to root rot in poorly drained soil

Pruning Advice: Deadhead spent flower stems to encourage further blooms. In late autumn, cut back foliage if it becomes damaged by frost.

Agapanthus Blue Cloud – Planting Instructions

Sowing Time: Spring or early autumn for best establishment
Instruction: Plant in well-drained, fertile soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure. Avoid waterlogged areas.
Trench Preparation:
Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and slightly deeper. Mix organic matter into the soil before planting.

Positioning of Plants:
Place plants 30–60cm apart to allow adequate space for growth.

Plant Spacing:
30–60cm between plants to ensure good airflow and growth.

Pruning:
Remove faded flower stems after blooming. Trim any damaged leaves in late autumn or early spring.
