The hydrangea macrophylla is an ever popular shrub that suits any garden style. This deciduous shrub bears, bright green, serrated leaves and very large flowerheads in summer ans early autumn. These can be left on the plant overwinter as they are still highly decorative when dry. They should be pruned, then, in March.

Best grown in partial shade, in a moist compost.
